1. Is TabletClass a complete course curriculum?
Yes. Our learning system covers all topics found in a traditional math class complete
with lessons notes and example sets. The course was designed by John Zimmerman a
certified and experienced math teacher with the primary goal of teaching any student
irrespective of ability to excel at algebra. TabletClass is one of the most creative
and rich online products available. It easily duplicates what is taught in a traditional
full year math class without the limitations of a physical classroom. Prime features
include: over 100 hours of quality video instruction, complete chapter notes, a
performance tracking system, the ability to download videos on portable devices
and well over 1000 problems with step-by-step video solutions.

2. Do I need a textbook to use the TabletClass program?
No, but textbooks are very useful. Although, TabletClass provides students with
close to 100 pages of notes for the course a math textbook can offer great projects
and additional word problems to practice and explore. Moreover, older math books
are just as good as the new ones. We suggest if you decide to purchase a math book,
save money by buying a used textbook online. |

3. Does TabletClass meet state requirements for home school?
Each state has different home school requirements. We are very confident that our
course will meet and exceed your state’s requirements. John Zimmerman designed and
created the product to match topic by topic what’s required in a traditional math
course. However, we suggest matching our course curriculum to the specific requirements
of your state. |

With so
many videos how do I know which order to watch them?
It really depends on how you plan to use the TabletClass system. If your main instruction
comes from our system then we recommend watching all the videos in order to master
chapter core skills and concepts. We made this easy to accomplish by our course
navigator; it’s set up and organized just like chapters in a textbook. Also, we
encourage students/parents to enhance learning by adding projects or extension work
from a textbook or other material if they desire (see our Parent Course Guide to
learn more). Another approach to experience the powerful benefits of TabletClass
is to use it as a ready reference or tutoring system. Students can login 24/7 to
find help with topics that might be troubling them and if they like they can download
the videos on their iPods to study on the go!

5. My child has special needs is TabletClass right for them?
Yes! John Zimmerman has personally worked with many special needs students over
the years and achieved outstanding results. He believes that a student must feel
confident about their “ability” to learn before actual achievement takes place.
Time and again John has motivated young people with encouragement and he has brought
this same passion to the TabletClass system. When designing the course, John kept
in mind that many students using the system may have learning disabilities. As such,
the TabletClass system was well thought out to be an easy to use self-learning system.
Our videos are engaging and effective and appeal to a wide range of learning stimulation
from visual to auditory. Also if your child needs more time to become proficient
in a concept, they can go through the videos at their own pace and watch the videos
as many times as they like. Lastly, for active kids they can download lessons on
portable devices such as the iPod and study in the environment which best suits
them. |

6. Does TabletClass provide testing materials?
We believe that we have developed something even better than a test; we call it
the “My Pulse” skill evaluator. A test is simply a traditional and periodic feedback
system. Although we encourage parents to use a variety of methods to gauge how well
their child is succeeding, we wanted to create a unique and powerful system that
maintains a constant status of your child’s progress. How does My Pulse work? As
students watch a video there is an area on the screen called the Student Journal
where they can indicate how well they understand the concepts that are being taught.
This feature is available for every video so students/parents can at anytime have
a very detailed “report card” of skills learned to date. My Pulse takes the pressure
off of trying to determine your child’s comprehension level. Of course the main
advantage of this feature is that it quickly directs you to deficiencies so you
can correct problems as you go through the course. With traditional testing, the
parent/student has to wait days or weeks to get less specific feedback. TabletClass
specifically developed the pulse system to counter this limitation in traditional
testing. Although the main focus of our system is instruction, we have also given
our members a powerful tool that will enable them to track their progress. (See
the Parent Course Guide to learn more about this feature.) |

I have my own homeschool teaching philosophy. Would I need to follow the
Tabletclass system
exactly
as recommended to gain value from the material?
Absolutely not! We want you, the parent to be creative
and confident to make the appropriate adjustments that best fits your family’s needs.
Studies suggest most homeschoolers modify and customize standard curriculums to
teach their children. TabletClass recognizes that it’s impossible to have a “one
size fits all” approach and is designed to be highly flexible.
