Hi my name is John Zimmerman.
As a certified Math teacher I've taught many young people in Middle and High Schools, additionally, I've
taught math online for a prestigious technical school. My concept for the TabletClass System began in my classroom, during my Master of Education
Technology program. I know from experience that the pace of the classroom doesn't always work for all
students. In many cases teachers are not able to spend more
time focusing
their attention on the students that need the most help, leaving students and parents
searching for outside resources.
I began to develop my videos as an added resource
for my students. I could reach them on a 1 on 1 level and allow them to control their learning
pace. It was a great way to introduce new lessons to those students who were ready to move forward and
gave me an opportunity to focus my attention on those students who were not. My students found the videos engaging
and easy to understand, additionally I used their input to refine my teaching methods.
I have spent the last several years researching and developing a remarkable way to use this concept for teaching online.

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you
to our site. As I'm sure you know our society is becoming more and more dependent
on technology of which Mathematics plays an integral role. I hope that I will be
a part of your child's educational development in helping them acquire skills that
will be invaluable in any profession in the "real world." In my classroom I stressed
more than the pure mechanics of Algebraic operations. I placed special emphasis
on developing the child's ability and confidence to face any complex problem and
solve it though logical approach. I communicated to my students that the effort
one must apply to solve a complicated math problem is the same effort one needs
to overcome any difficult challenge. I use this same method of teaching, in
my videos. As a parent myself, I know that your child's education is
a priority and I've made it my priority to create quality, enriched instructional videos. I
don't just tutor the student in my videos, I teach the subject just as I would
