Our Founders
John Zimmerman
John Zimmerman's background is diverse, having worked
in education in one form or another for the past 15 years. His career began
as a United States Marine where he was selected for a full college scholarship that
led to commission as a Naval Officer and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of San Diego. Following graduation, John served as a
Surface Warfare Officer. His commitment and
loyalty to his fellow servicemen came natural as John has always had a passion for
helping others. After serving 10 decorated years in the military, he managed and led production operations in the chemical industry.
John left Corporate America and found his calling teaching math. He became a certified math teacher instructing middle and high
school students as well as at an online technical school. His interest
in education and technology led him to pursue his Master of Science degree in
Education Technology from Ramapo College in New Jersey and has spent the last several years researching
and develping new methods to teach
online. His teaching methods and effectiveness
speak for themselves with many of his students attending renowned colleges across
the nation. TabletClass.com is a
product of all his endeavors and a desire to make a difference in today's education
system.
Vince Garcia
Vince Garcia is currently a Lieutenant Commander in the United States
Navy. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University
of San Diego and received a commission in the United States Navy. He is a
Surface Warfare Officer and has served in various leadership positions to include
Chief Engineer, Training Officer,
and Engineering Plant Inspector. He received a Master of Science in Information
Technology Management from the Navy Postgraduate School where he was also awarded
a process patent for his work designing an education management system. Vince is a life-long
friend of John Zimmerman and believes in the value of his methodologies. He joined the TabletClass team to help students achieve math excellence
by designing an intuitive web-interface
for learning math. He strives to make learning math an enjoyable experience
and has developed a truly effective method for students to access and navigate lessons,
and track their performance. He is a proven innovator with a track record
of professional success and a true asset to the TabletClass team. |
